A little info about my grandpa car as I like to call it. I traded in a 1999 Camaro Z28 for this 2008 Grand Prix GXP in December 2008. This is officially the longest that I have ever owned a car, haha. First thing I did was add tint (usually the first thing I do to all my vehicles).
5.3L LS4, auto w/tap shift on the steering wheel.
-Hogan performance downpipe w/high flow cat.
-Custom-bent 3" exhaust to Magnaflow mufflers with dual 4" tips
-Non-invasive tune (higher shift points, maxed speed governor with hp tuners. I want a more involved tune but I fear my stock trans will not last long with more power and higher pressure in the trans lines.)
-Aftermarket HID's, 6000k 55w
I absolutely love this car and on many days I prefer to drive this over my Camaro.
Dyno numbers with the above mods was 254 hp 2xx tq. Don't remember the exact torque number.
Best 1/4 mile time was 14.72 @ 95mph w/ 2.1 60'.
Car has been as high as 154mph next to the salt flats. This was what the speedometer said, not gps verified so it was probably a little less than that. The car definitely had more in it but I ran out of room.
