Hi Everyone!!!
JDP Motorsports is excited to start the build on our 2011 1SS/RS LS3 Camaro! We have a lot of exciting things planned for the build up of this beast and we'll do a few different configurations through out the process. The plan is to build a road race/open road race/standing mile car that has great street manners. Horsepower is always very important but we aren't going to forget about the most important aspect of HP and torque, putting it to the ground!
The first order of business is to get this thing breathing better! Less than 12 hours after bring the Camaro to the shop was the installation of an Airaid
250-243 CAI system. With less than 100 miles on the clock an immediate performance difference was felt!
BeforeAfterWe then installed a Hurst shifter to give us a more positive shift engagement feel. I like the look and feel of this shifter and we will also try a few other brands so we can give a good evaluation after using multiple set ups.
Our goal with this project is to assemble packages that have real world testing and work in conjunction with each other. This will be a very exciting build and please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions at any time, we want this to be an interactive build! You can also follow this on our

I got the Magnaflow 16483 3" Comp Series Cat-Back installed and it already sounds a lot better. I'll give it about 1000 miles before I record some sound files and then we'll be installing some Long Tube Headers!
Stock System (Those cans are ugly!)
Stock H-Pipe Magnaflow Tru-X CrossoverI noticed more throttle response and it pulls harder from 3K RPM up. I've installed the 16483 quite a few times and this is my favorite Magnaflow system for our cars. Our Camaro currently has 1100 miles on it so at 2100 miles we'll be doing some sound clips.
The next planned mod is going to be Long Tube Headers with converters along with some suspension work, oh and we'll be installing a catch can as well.
Next was the suspension. I went with Pfadt sub-frame mounts, rear upper c-arm bushings, Race Sways w/adjustable end links, Springs, front radius bearing, Spohn trailing arms and Spohn toe-links.
KOOKS 1-7/8" LT Headers
I did a number of Open Track events this year and took 1st Place in the PCA TT at Miller and 2nd Place in the 2nd event. The car handles very well and is a lot of fun to drive with the suspension and HP mods.
I installed an ECS Big Blower cam shaft, double springs, Katech C5-R timing chain, JDP 3-Bolt Cam conversion kit and it made good power. The plan is to change the cam, springs, install an Innovators West Reduction Damper, GMPP CNC heads and a Fast Intake Manifold in my quest for 515 RWHP N/A. Here is the current dyno sheet.
JDP Motorsports CTS-V brake Upgrade package made a huge difference slowing this beast down! I used Hawk pads and our custom Goodridge Stainless lines. We offer this complete package.
JDP Heater Hose Relocation and Fuel Line Kit
I missed a few things that we did and I'll go back and add them. This car is a lot of fun to drive and I enjoy it a lot. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have!
Kind regards,
Jordan Priestley
