PostSubject: Introducing my project Camaro   Tue Jan 03, 2012 7:06 pm

Hello again , hope everyone had a great holiday season,
Here is a few pics of my first rebuild project, my dads 94 Z28 given to me a few years ago, this camaro blew a head gasket after the water pump went out at over 100 mph. Crying or Very sad ]
So ive had the block bored over .30, crank reground, all new pistons rings and bearings, deck surfaced, line honed, new rod bolts, valve job, heads redone. pretty much everything. Nothing fancy or high performance, pretty much just a stock rebuild.[img]So its all reassembled but wont fire, i have fuel pressure but no spark from the coil (new)I have gone over every inch of this engine, (twice) drunken I surrender , Im taking her in to have someone hook it up to a computer. Ill post what i find out as soon as can, but will take any suggestions or common troubleshooting ideas .Im not taking it in until next week, and might have a few more hours to tinker around.

sounds like either your ICM (ignition control module) or your Opti-spark system the lt1 camaro has been notorious for the optispark going bad, looks like it was a fun rebuild.
